The Hong Kong Society of Biological Psychiatry (HKSBP) is one of the national societies of the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP). As a member of WFSBP, HKSBP would like to support the development of biological psychiatry in Asia. We aim to foster young researchers and to encourage them to participate in academic conference of Asian National Societies of Biological Psychiatry.

Joining the membership of HKSBP, you may also benefit from the membership of WFSBP. The scientific journal - The World Journal of Biological Psychiatry, is published 8 times a year by WFSBP. It is an exclusive benefit offered to the registered members of WFSBP.

                                        Membership Categories:

  • “Full Member” – any registered medical practitioner in Hong Kong who practices, as a psychiatrist and whose training and qualifications are approved by the Executive Committee is eligible to apply.


  • “Associate Member” – any registered medical practitioner in Hong Kong with interest in the field of biological psychiatry is eligible to apply.


  • “Affiliate Member” – any medical school graduates in Hong Kong or overseas is eligible to apply


  • “Student Member” – any current medical student in Hong Kong or overseas is eligible to apply


  • “Corporate Member” – any corporation, whether incorporated in Hong Kong SAR or overseas, which is interest in the field of biological psychiatry
